What You’ll Do

The Projects & CFE is responsible for leading the strategic planning and delivery of all CFE and roll outs (up to 60m of capital spend) across the Primark store estate. This role ensures high-quality, commercially focused delivery that enhances customer experience, supports store performance, and enables the business to execute projects more efficiently and at pace.

Operating at a mid-senior level, the Projects & CFE drives consistency, governance, and innovation across all roll outs and CFE activity, unlocking efficiencies, reducing costs, and minimising disruption to trading stores while maintaining exceptional brand and safety standards.

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Set the strategic direction for roll-outs and CFE programmes across the estate, aligning delivery with business priorities, capital plans and growth ambitions while establishing a consistent, scalable approach.
  • Lead a high-volume, multi-site portfolio of projects, including store roll-outs, CFE, fixtures, equipment, retail environments and branding programmes, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, budgets, quality and brand standards.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of CFE programmes, from technical drawings, prototyping and testing through to implementation and estate-wide deployment, balancing pace with minimal disruption to trading stores.
  • Partner closely with Design and key business functions to translate new retail concepts, fixtures, displays and shop-in-shop solutions into scalable, operationally effective and commercially viable solutions.
  • Drive strong commercial and cost management, challenging specifications, delivery models, component selection and supplier performance to improve value, efficiency and return on investment without compromising quality, safety or customer experience.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing supply base, working closely with Procurement on sourcing, supplier onboarding, commercial negotiations and performance across fixtures, equipment, branding and retail environment solutions.
  • Lead effective governance and continuous improvement, embedding robust health & safety, risk management and compliance while identifying opportunities to improve speed, scalability, sustainability and overall delivery efficiency.
  • Provide strong, inclusive leadership and cross-functional collaboration, building effective relationships across Property, Construction, Retail, Space Optimisation, Design, Equipment and external partners. Develop team capability, accountability and commercial awareness while creating alignment around shared priorities and outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience delivering construction and roll-out programmes within complex, multi-site environments, ideally across multiple regions or countries, with experience delivering CFE projects at scale.
  • Strong technical understanding of fixtures, equipment and retail environments, including technical drawings, prototyping, product specifications, bills of quantities and deployment requirements.
  • Experience working closely with Design, Procurement, suppliers and manufacturers, translating concepts into practical, scalable solutions and successfully delivering them across multiple locations.
  • Strong supply chain and supplier management experience, including developing, onboarding and managing supplier networks across multiple project categories to deliver quality, value and performance.
  • Understanding of fixture and equipment lifecycle management, including deployment, storage, refurbishment, recycling and asset optimisation, with a focus on improving efficiency and sustainability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams, consultants, contractors and external partners, aligning different priorities around successful delivery.
  • Strong organisational, commercial and leadership capability, with experience managing multiple projects and competing demands in a fast-paced environment, while supporting high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement.
