My name is Corinne, I’ve been mentoring and building engineering teams for 10 years. I’m looking for a handful of talented engineers who are interested in applying to be promoted by the Crewful platform.

For engineers, Crewful is a completely free product. It’s designed to promote talented people who write code for a living and make it easier to find a company that you love working for.

Crewful is currently run by one person and that means I can only accept a small handful of applicants.

FAQ

What is a Crewful profile?

A Crewful profile is meant to be a way for you and companies to get matched with each other quickly and easily.

Typical recruiting relies on a “first-in-first-out” mentality. Basically whoever submits the resume first that matches the desired buzzwords for the job description gets sorted to the top of the list.

This means that people in the interview pipeline might not be the best fit, but they were there first or matched the correct “keywords”.

Then the company rushes to interview candidates, which can be haphazardly designed. Many engineers do not focus on evaluating what skills you have to excel in your work. This is why we end up with leetcode and "quiz" interview questions.

In reality, your problem solving, experience, communication, and vision are what’s important. The technical interviews need to be about how you build things, solve problems, and learn new skills.

What Crewful profiles do are they prove your technical experience and communication effectiveness. This happens with a phone and technical screen, in which we work on and talk about real life problems.

Then, you and I work together on your goals. We promote that on your profile.

Companies get the confidence they need that you can build things. You get much more visibility than a simple resume. The only thing left to do is focus on team-fit with individual companies.

Everybody saves time and is happy :)

What kind of companies do you work with?

Generally, Crewful works with companies on the smaller size. From the 1 - 1000 range in head count. This size, in my experience, is more likely to care about you. There's usually more autonomy and a better focus on team culture.

Companies must apply to Crewful, and not all are accepted. Crewful is about finding companies that focus on building great places to work.

What happens if a company likes my profile?

If a company likes your profile, I send you their information to see if you are interested in working with them.

If you are, there will be an interview round scheduled with their team. This ensures that you and the team have a chance to get to know each other. This is a time for you to learn more about the team and for them to learn more about you and your skills.

What is the Crewful process like?

I will reach out if you seem like a good fit for the program. We’ll schedule a phone call to talk about your goals and a project you have worked on recently.

After that there will be a ‘take home’ code exercise, which will get featured on your profile.

How do you match engineers with companies?

I personally speak with both engineers and companies to understand what each is looking for.

If I see there is a match, I’ll reach out to existing partners.

If nothing seems to fit the bill for a specific engineer: I’ll reach out to companies outside of the current partners to find the right match.

Is my Crewful profile public?

Only companies that have partnered with Crewful will be able to access your profile and interviews. Your profile will be hidden from any specific companies you wish (current employers).

How long can my profile stay up?

As long as you want it to!

If you find another job, and don’t want any job invitations we can make your profile ‘inactive’. When you are looking again: we can ‘reactivate’ it and make any updates to experience you feel are important.

How do you get paid?
I charge companies for my time spent to find and match with you, but it has no impact on your end salary. In most cases it saves companies money as they don’t have to work with recruiters or sift through hundreds of applications.
