Remote | Full-Time | UK Working Hours


Are you an experienced UK Property Manager with a strong understanding of property maintenance and compliance?


We're looking for a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Property & Maintenance Manager to join a growing UK property business. This fully remote role is ideal for someone with previous UK property management experience who enjoys taking ownership of a busy property portfolio while ensuring maintenance, compliance, and customer service are delivered to the highest standard.


Working closely with landlords, tenants, contractors, and the wider property team, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day property management activities, coordinating maintenance works, overseeing statutory compliance, and ensuring properties remain fully compliant with UK legislation.


Working Hours

Monday to Friday

08:30am – 5:30pm (UK Time) (Working hours are based on UK time and will adjust accordingly during British Summer Time (BST) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) changes.)

1-hour lunch break


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a residential property portfolio on behalf of UK landlords.
  • Act as the first point of contact for landlords, tenants, and contractors.
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance requests from initial report through to completion.
  • Prioritise urgent maintenance issues and instruct contractors accordingly.
  • Monitor a high volume of outstanding maintenance works and ensure jobs are completed within agreed service levels.
  • Arrange contractor access, appointments, and key collections where required.
  • Obtain quotations for maintenance and remedial works.
  • Obtain landlord approval before instructing chargeable works.
  • Ensure sufficient landlord funds are available prior to authorising works.
  • Book, monitor and manage all statutory compliance requirements, including:
  • Gas Safety Certificates (CP12)
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
  • Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)
  • Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Compliance
  • Monitor compliance expiry dates and proactively arrange renewals before deadlines.
  • Review completed compliance certificates for accuracy before issuing them to landlords and tenants.
  • Upload and maintain compliance documentation within the property management system.
  • Verify contractor certifications where required.
  • Coordinate tenancy inspections and maintain inspection schedules.
  • Prepare inspection, check-in and check-out reports from photographs and inspection notes.
  • Support tenancy renewals and prepare tenancy documentation where required.
  • Maintain accurate property, tenancy, maintenance and compliance records.
  • Process contractor invoices and complete associated administrative tasks.
  • Ensure all communications are accurately recorded within the CRM.
  • Prepare reports to support portfolio management and operational performance.
  • Escalate risks, compliance concerns or recurring maintenance issues to management.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and support wider operational projects.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous UK residential Property Management experience.
  • Previous experience working within a UK lettings or property management environment.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance works and contractors.
  • Strong understanding of UK property compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Confident liaising with landlords, tenants, contractors and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, "go-getter" mindset.


Desirable

Experience using Reapit, Fixflo, Street-CRM or similar property management software.

Knowledge of UK tenancy progression.

Understanding of Right to Rent legislation.

Previous experience managing compliance across a residential property portfolio.

Previous experience working remotely for a UK property business.
