Proposal Writer & Project Manager – Wealth Solution

Ready to turn complex Wealth solutions into winning, client-ready stories? Want end-to-end ownership of high‑impact proposals that directly influence Aon’s growth?

Join Aon’s industry‑leading pursuit team as a Proposal Writer & Project Manager and shape compelling, bilingual (EN/FR) proposals and presentations that help us win and retain key clients across Canada!

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

As a Proposal Writer & Project Manager – Wealth Solutions, you will manage end to end proposal and presentation projects that support Aon’s growth in Wealth. You’ll collaborate with consultants, practice leaders, sales teams, and designers to translate complex ideas into clear, client focused, and visually engaging content.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the development of proposals and presentations from intake to delivery, often partnering with senior leaders and pursuit managers.
  • Participate in proposal strategy meetings, helping to shape response themes, messages, and differentiators, and ensure that strategy is reflected consistently in the final documents.
  • Work closely with the lead designer to produce visually impactful, brand aligned proposals and presentations.
  • Partner with consultants and subject matter experts to develop tailored, strategic content that clearly addresses client needs and aligns with Aon’s value propositions.
  • Continue to build a strong working knowledge of Aon’s Wealth, Health and Risk offerings to strengthen content quality and consistency.
  • Support the development of oral presentation materials, including slide decks, in partnership with the account team and designer.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions and content development workshops to refine messages, structure responses, and strengthen client impact.
  • Primarily work independently to plan, organize, and deliver assignments, determining methods and procedures for each project while coordinating input from multiple stakeholders.
  • Help maintain and improve our content library and proposal tools (e.g., templates, standard text, SharePoint/Loopio/Qvidian entries) to increase efficiency and quality across pursuits.

How this opportunity is different

In this role, you’ll be at the center of how Aon tells its story—turning complex solutions into clear, compelling proposals that directly influence win rates and business growth. You’ll collaborate closely with consultants, practice leaders, sales teams, designers, and pursuit specialists across Canada and beyond, giving you exposure to high‑profile, strategic pursuits. Unlike many writing roles, this position blends strategic thinking, hands‑on content creation, and project management, so you’ll both shape the message and run the process from end to end. You’ll be supported by an experienced pursuit team, proven tools, and a strong content library, while still having the autonomy to own your projects and make a visible impact.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Professional experience in bid management, proposal writing considered as a strong asset.
  • Working experience as an Executive assistant considered as an asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing custom, strategic content (leveraging key messages / value propositions) and strong editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet all deadlines.
  • Experience creating oral presentation deliverables, partnering with a designer and account team to build client ready slide decks.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a growing and evolving group, and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to achieve high-quality deliverables and practical solutions.
  • Impeccable communication skills in both written and spoken English and French.
  • Working knowledge of proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Qvidian, Loopio or similar) is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • French / English bilingualism preferred due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
