Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Contract

Choices Coordinated Care Solutions, Inc is seeking to contract with a competent and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to administer clinical evaluations and provide medication management services. This professional is responsible for providing direct medical service to children and adolescents. The primary duties of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will include administering clinical evaluations, prescribing medication as well as ordering, performing, and interpreting evaluations within their scope of practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners – Independent Contractors are responsible for, but not limited to: Conduct Medication Management appointments for new and established clients Ethically prescribe medication to clients Communicate with PCPs when necessary Maintain accurate records in the process of requesting medical records Complete progress notes Update and maintain client records Maintain all confidential information Complete all paperwork in required timeframes Submit accurate invoices timely Additional Qualifications Ability to solve problems and use good clinical judgement. Excellent understanding of trauma-informed care. High standard of ethical care. Respectful of people and culture. Ability to read and interpret complex materials. Ability to manage your time effectively. Ability to write clearly with mastery of spelling, punctuation, indentation, and spacing. Effective oral communication skills. Willingness to represent Choices with professionalism, integrity and honesty always. The Independent Contractor/1099 must possess a valid driver’s license The Independent Contractor/1099 is responsible for obtaining and maintaining professional liability insurance. The Independent Contractor/1099 must pass all background checks Skills Collaborating with system partners Treatment plan development Initial assessment and diagnosis Excellent documentation Safety Planning Commitment to organizational goals and mission Ability to work independently and as part of team Family communication Time management Monitoring Progress of Interventions HIPPA compliance/confidentiality Education Certification/Licensure as a PMHNP in Mississippi Job Type Independent Contract/1099 Shift and Schedule Flexible Scheduling (Weekends, Evenings, Days, as needed based on needs of service recipient) Location Virtual and/or office based Travel expectations: No travel Benefits Independent Contract Work – Employee Benefits are not applicable. Flexible Scheduling Pay Rate $100 to $120/per hour
