Account Executive, New York | YAP Global
Hybrid, 3 days in office | Midtown Manhattan, New York City
Crypto and digital assets are becoming part of mainstream finance. We tell its story.
The world's biggest financial institutions are moving onchain. BlackRock has launched a tokenized fund, JPMorgan runs its own blockchain payments network, and Stripe has bought its way into stablecoins. In Washington, Congress passed the GENIUS Act with bipartisan support, creating the first federal rules for stablecoins. This is one of the biggest stories in finance right now, and the companies building it need people who can explain what they're doing and why it matters.
That's what we do. YAP Global is a PR and communications agency working with companies in digital assets: the payments companies, trading platforms, asset managers and infrastructure builders shaping how money moves next. Our team has secured coverage in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNBC, Fortune, Forbes, Reuters and CoinDesk, and we're the media partner for some major industry conferences in the United States, France, London and Singapore.
No crypto background needed. If you're curious and a sharp communicator, we'll teach you the rest. Some of our best people started knowing nothing about it.
What you'll do
- Pitch stories, interviews and op-eds to journalists at top business, finance and tech outlets
- Research and draft pitches, press releases and media lists
- Arrange and prepare clients for media interviews
- Track coverage and report results to clients and the team
- Spot news that matters to our clients and suggest how they can be part of the story
- Contribute ideas to campaigns from day one
Who you'll work with
You'll report to an Account Manager in New York and work closely with our Director, alongside colleagues in London and Singapore. You'll have a weekly 1:1 with your line manager, so you always know how you're doing and get the feedback and support you need. As part of a small team, you'll get real responsibility fast and direct access to senior people who will invest in your growth.
Where this goes
We progress our people quickly. With two performance review cycles a year, you won't wait a year to be recognized for your work. The path runs from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive to Account Manager.
You're a fit if you have
- 1 to 2 years in PR, communications or journalism (or a relevant degree plus internships)
- A real news sense: you can tell what makes a story and why a reporter would care
- Clean, sharp writing
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Curiosity about finance and technology (and comfort with memes, Slack, Telegram and X)
What you'll get
- 25 days PTO plus public holidays, and your birthday off
- Health insurance and a 401(k) employer match
- Monthly gym/ wellness stipend
- Hybrid: 3 days in office, 9am-6pm with flexibility
- An annual team offsite (past ones include a safari park and Roman and French villas)
- Ongoing training and mentorship

To apply: send your CV and a 3-sentence answer to this: pick a crypto story from this week's business news and tell us which reporter you'd pitch it to and why.
