BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is the national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, one of the world's cruelest, most unpredictable, and devastating diseases, while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. Through a comprehensive program of research, education, and advocacy, we lead the fight to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.

Partners United for Lupus Sustainable Education and Awareness (PULSE), an LFA program funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is a national effort aimed at reducing the average time to diagnosis and improving the coordination of care and quality of life of people living with lupus, especially among populations that are disproportionately impacted by the disease.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for providing direction and support on initiatives to improve awareness of lupus, time to an accurate lupus diagnosis, health outcomes and health-related quality of life among individuals with lupus. This position will be responsible for programmatic work including assisting with the execution of a national awareness and education campaign; ongoing promotion and growth of a web-based health education resource center; overseeing the engagement of a national network of lupus partnerships; and coordinating the development and dissemination of lupus self-management education and resources.

The Project Manager position requires a proven, forward-thinking, and dynamic individual to be proactive and strategic in assisting with the development of new, innovative methods to reach diverse, underserved, and underrepresented communities. The position will report to the Director of Federal Grants and Public Programs.
