The Senior Analyst partners closely with Procurement, IT, Finance, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to maintain reliable, compliant, and user-friendly source-to-pay processes.

This position is based in Massachusetts and requires an on-site presence consistent with the company’s hybrid work expectations. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Procurement business administrator and subject matter expert for SAP Ariba, including requisitioning, purchasing, approvals, supplier onboarding, invoicing-related processes, and the Ariba Business Network.
  • Maintain Ariba approval workflows, delegation and group-of-authorization tables, commodity and cost-center mappings, and other configuration data in coordination with IT, Finance, Human Resources, and system support partners.
  • Administer procurement user access, role changes, onboarding, and offboarding activities, ensuring access is appropriate, timely, documented, and aligned with governance, security, segregation-of-duties, and compliance requirements.
  • Triage and resolve Ariba and procure-to-pay issues; identify root causes, coordinate technical support, communicate status, and document sustainable solutions.
  • Gather business requirements and support procurement system enhancements from intake through configuration review, testing, user acceptance, deployment, hypercare, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Develop and execute test scripts to validate workflows, controls, integrations, master data, and user experience before changes are released.
  • Maintain procurement work instructions, standard operating procedures, training materials, system communications, and knowledge resources.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to employees on requisition entry, purchase-order processes, approvals, supplier setup, and appropriate use of procurement systems.
  • Own operational governance for Ariba supplier enablement and Business Network activities, supporting supplier adoption, transaction accuracy, data integrity, and process efficiency.
  • Maintain recurring procurement reports and enhance Power BI dashboards supporting spend visibility, cycle-time metrics, supplier activity, operational performance, and savings tracking.
  • Own and continuously improve Procurement spend analytics, including supplier, category, business unit, PO, and transaction-level spend visibility.
  • Partner with Category Managers to translate spend and supplier data into actionable sourcing data insights.
  • Support SOX controls and internal and external audits by maintaining documentation, producing system reports and approval evidence, responding to requests, and supporting remediation activities.
  • Monitor procurement processes and system usage for control gaps, data-quality issues, bottlenecks, or inconsistent adoption; recommend and implement practical improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, IT, Finance, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders on source-to-pay operations and projects.
  • Support purchase-order maintenance and related operational activities, including reassignment, closure, and cleanup, in coordination with Finance and business owners.
  • Independently manage assigned work and contribute as a project lead or team member on procurement technology, governance, integration, and process-improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in purchasing operations, procurement operations, procure-to-pay, supply chain systems, or a related business operations role.
  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting SAP Ariba, including requisitions, purchase orders, approval workflows, user access, supplier processes, or Business Network activities.
  • Experience partnering with IT and business functions to troubleshoot systems, document requirements, test changes, and support implementations or enhancements.
  • Experience with procurement controls, audit support, access governance, approval governance, or SOX-controlled business processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet and experience creating or maintaining operational reports and dashboards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SAP Ariba administration experience, particularly within Buying and Invoicing, approval workflows, user administration, supplier enablement, and Ariba Business Network.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integrations between Ariba, SAP, invoice-management tools, identity or access systems, and enterprise data platforms.
