Python Developer

Our Dublin based client are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure backend software applications that are reliable and scalable
• Ownership of complex features from design through to production release.
• Collaboration with engineers, product managers, architects, designers, QA, security, and data teams to help deliver solutions
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions while contributing to ideas that will improve overall performance
• Contribute to technical decision-making in cloud-native and serverless environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and promote engineering best practices across the wider group
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving coding.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented design, testing practices, typing, and maintainable service design.
• Experience building and operating cloud services within AWS environments.
• Expertise with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing backend capabilities including APIs, secure storage solutions, analytics services, and workflow integrations.
