Python Software Engineer | AWS | Snowflake
Role: Full-time
Experience: 7+ years preferred;
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Work Mode: Hybrid — 3 days in office
Notice Period: Immediate to 60 days
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Python Software Engineer with strong experience building, deploying and supporting production-grade software, along with practical expertise in AWS and Snowflake.
This role is for an engineer who writes and maintains code, develops reliable services, works with data platforms and takes ownership of production systems. We are looking for strong software engineering fundamentals—not a profile focused primarily on AI/ML research, data science or solution architecture.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain production-grade Python applications and services.
- Build reliable backend components, APIs, integrations and reusable software modules.
- Work hands-on with AWS services to deploy, secure, monitor and troubleshoot applications.
- Develop and optimise Snowflake-based solutions, including SQL queries, data models and application/data integrations.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Follow engineering best practices covering code quality, unit testing, Git, CI/CD, deployment and release management.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code and automation practices where required.
- Collaborate with engineering, data and business teams to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
Mandatory technical requirements
- Strong, demonstrable hands-on Python software development experience.
- Experience building and supporting production applications, services or backend systems.
- Practical AWS experience, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and relevant security controls.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience, including SQL, data modelling, integration and performance optimisation.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: APIs, testing, debugging, version control and code quality.
- Experience with production support, incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Ability to explain personal technical contributions and implementation decisions clearly.
What we are looking for
A hands-on individual contributor who can demonstrate what they have personally designed, coded, deployed and supported.
This is not primarily an AI Engineer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer or Technical Architect position. AI/GenAI experience can be an advantage, but it does not replace the core requirements for Python software engineering, AWS and Snowflake.
Candidates whose CVs demonstrate the required hands-on engineering experience will be prioritised.
Interested candidates can apply with an updated CV.
