CGM is seeking a **Team Lead QA Automation (m/w/d)** to lead the QA Automation team for **Turbomed**. In this role, you will provide both technical and disciplinary leadership while defining and implementing the test automation strategy across **unit, integration, system, stress, and performance testing**.
You will work closely with Engineering and Product Management to deliver on quality and delivery commitments while embedding **shift-left, automation-first, and risk-based testing** into the development process. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, including scalable test frameworks, test harnesses, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-native test automation using tools such as **Claude Code and AI agents**.
## Key Responsibilities
- Provide **technical and disciplinary leadership** for the QA Automation team supporting Turbomed.
- Define the test automation strategy across unit, integration, system, stress, and performance testing.
- Work with Engineering and Product Management to deliver the team's quality and delivery commitments.
- Establish shift-left, automation-first, and risk-based testing approaches within the development process.
- Remain hands-on where this provides meaningful value, including the design of scalable test frameworks, test harnesses, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive **AI-native test automation**, using Claude Code and AI agents for test generation, maintenance, and triage.
- Establish reusable AI skills and workflows for the broader QA team.
- Mentor QA Engineers and continuously raise the team's technical standards.
- Contribute expertise to the **AIS DE QA community**.
- Develop AI pipelines, test harnesses, and context-engineering approaches for QA automation.
## Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in **test automation**, with strong technical credibility.
- Ability to develop and lead a senior QA Automation team both professionally and personally.
- Excellent university degree, preferably a **Master's degree**, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field, with very good academic performance.
- Solid experience with **multi-layer test frameworks**.
- Experience with **CI/CD**, load testing, and performance testing.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language such as **C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript**.
- Demonstrated effective use of **AI in QA**.
- Fluent German and fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Strong problem-solving skills, innovation, and proactive working style.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and alignment with CGM's healthcare purpose and responsibility for patient safety.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with **Claude Code** or similar agentic AI tools.

- Knowledge of the **Turbomed technology stack**, including **Qt, .NET, MariaDB, and Gematik TI**.

## Education & Experience
