Job Type: Contractor
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Working Hours: Flexible, 20-40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $20 CAD/hour

*Please note that fluency in both English and Mandarin is required for this position.

What You'll Own

  • Testing & Bug Identification

    • Test new features and releases to identify bugs, edge cases, and regressions across web applications and APIs

    • Write test cases based on product specs and user stories

    • Perform exploratory testing and validate integrations with cloud marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot)

    • Test Automation

      • Build and maintain automated tests for critical user flows and APIs

      • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to catch bugs and regressions early

      • Bug Reporting & Resolution

        • Reproduce, document, and prioritize bugs with clear steps, logs, and screenshots

        • Collaborate with Engineering and Product to investigate issues and verify fixes

        • Work with Support and Customer Success to reproduce customer-reported bugs

        • Track bug trends and help ensure product quality before release

        • Cross-functional Collaboration

          • Partner with Engineering and Product to identify risks and edge cases early

          • Maintain QA documentation, test plans, and best practices

What You Have

  • Proficiency in Mandarin to collaborate effectively with our APAC engineering team

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong interest in software QA, testing, and identifying bugs

  • Basic understanding of manual testing, including test cases, regression testing, and exploratory testing

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and reading logs is a plus

  • Strong written English and communication skills for documenting bugs

  • Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment
