QA Functional Analyst

Syone is looking for a QA Functional Analyst to join our team in Lisboa , contributing to test design, execution, and quality assurance to ensure the reliability of business-critical applications.

What you would do:

• Design, develop, and maintain test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications;

• Execute manual tests, analyze results, and identify potential issues;

• Plan, prioritize, and report test activities, supporting Go / No-Go decisions;

• Conduct comprehensive manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory end-to-end (E2E) testing.

• Identify risks related to quality and timelines and support their resolution;

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project standards;

• Communicate progress and results, contributing to test documentation and reports;

• Use Postman or SoapUI to test and validate REST/SOAP APIs and run SQL queries (Oracle/PostgreSQL) to verify transaction data integrity.

• Log, track, and manage software defects using Jira and Xray, cooperating closely with developers during triages to expedite bug fixes.

What you need to bring:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field;

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Functional QA, Systems Analysis, or Software Testing.

• Solid knowledge of test methodologies and terminology (ISTQB);

• Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting;

• Knowledge of SQL and API testing;

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools,

• Ability to identify, analyze, and follow up on risks and defects;

• Solid experience in manual test execution, web/mobile app validation, and writing clear bug reports.

• Good summarization and documentation skills;
