QA / Test Engineer

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced a QA / Test Engineer to be responsible for validating data processing correctness, reconciliation accuracy, pipeline integration, and the functional reliability of the implemented solution.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Define test scenarios and acceptance validation approaches for selected reconciliation processes;
• Validate ingestion, preprocessing, transformation, and reconciliation outputs;
• Verify reconciliation results against agreed expected outcomes;
• Develop SQL-based validation queries and automated regression tests where appropriate;
• Support integration testing, performance testing, defect resolution, and UAT;
• Maintain testing evidence and contribute to delivery acceptance activities;

• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 4+ years of professional experience in Software QA, Data Testing, or Test Engineering;
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in ETL/ELT testing, database testing, data validation, or comparable data-intensive projects;
• Strong SQL skills for data comparison, reconciliation, and validation;
• Testing of ETL/ELT pipelines, source-to-target mappings, and database transformations;
• Data completeness, consistency, uniqueness, and integrity checks;
• Reconciliation testing, including matching criteria, expected discrepancies, and exception handling;
• Functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing;
• Design of test cases, representative test datasets, and expected results;
• Testing of batch processing, file validation, error handling, retries, and reprocessing;
• Defect investigation, evidence documentation, and UAT support;
• Familiarity with test automation and data testing frameworks;
• Experience in data migration validation, billing systems, Revenue Assurance, financial reconciliation, or large-volume batch data processing;
• Experience in data-centric testing is particularly important; exclusive experience in UI or frontend testing would not be sufficient for this role.

Relevant Technologies / Experience

• SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Python, pytest, dbt tests, Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent database, ETL, and testing technologies.
