At Virtusa, every innovator has the potential to transform and lead in a digital world—but unlocking that potential takes more than technology; it takes a trusted partner who combines engineering excellence, creativity, and an AI-first mindset.

Together, we co-create solutions that help businesses grow faster, operate smarter, and make experiences better with technology.

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on QA Tester with commercial experience in mobile and device testing. You will join our testing team to execute functional and localization checks on physical smartphones, tablets, and smart home hardware. We need someone who already knows their way around mobile operating systems, bug tracking, and basic debugging tools, and is ready to quickly adapt to a fast-paced hardware project.

This role is based in our Warsaw office on a hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

What You Will Do

  • Manual Execution: Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing on physical mobile devices (iOS, Android) and smart home hardware.

  • Defect Management: Identify, reproduce, and accurately document defects in Jira, attaching necessary logs and evidence.

  • Localization (l10n) Testing: Verify UI layouts, text truncations, and regional formats across different language builds.

  • Log Capturing: Extract logs from devices (using ADB / Xcode or built-in tools) to assist developers in debugging issues.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of practical QA experience, specifically focused on mobile applications (iOS/Android) or hardware testing.

  • Hands-on familiarity with gathering logs (e.g., Logcat / ADB for Android, Xcode logs for iOS) and working directly with physical devices.

  • Strong understanding of how to write clear test cases, steps to reproduce, and effectively manage the bug lifecycle in Jira.

  • Ability to quickly pick up specific hardware testing procedures and adapt to internal project tools.

  • Fluent English (B2/C1 minimum) for daily project communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in localization (l10n) or internationalization (i18n) testing.

  • Exposure to testing IoT, wearables, or smart home devices.
