A3 Consulting is seeking a highly technical and meticulous QA Tester to become the guardian of quality for our ServiceNow-based Case Management System. Your mission is to ensure custom applications, workflows, and platform features built within ServiceNow are reliable, performant, and bug-free across all user groups. If you enjoy designing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy using Automated Test Framework (ATF), manual testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), this role is for you!
In this Job You Will:
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) to double check and validate custom applications, modules, forms, and business logic built within the ServiceNow instance.
  • Utilize ATF to run automated regression testing suites prior to deployments, patch updates, and ServiceNow family releases to ensure custom Case Management functionality remains intact.
  • Create targeted ATF test steps to verify custom server-side scripts, Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, and UI Actions across custom applications
  • Perform comprehensive manual functional testing of complex, end-to-end case management lifecycles (e.g., case intake, assignment rules, SLA tracking, escalations, resolution, and archiving).
  • Validate role-based access control (ACLs), user impersonations, and security profiles across various stakeholder roles (Agents, Managers, System Admins, and External Users).
  • Develop and perform testing on REST/SOAP APIs to validate data integrity and system integrations between ServiceNow and external third-party platforms.
  • Provide robust User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support by developing acceptance test criteria, coordinating execution cycles, performing hands-on test cases, and sharing test results and trends with business analysts and stakeholders.
  • Identify, log, track, and perform root cause analysis on software defects using tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile Engine, working directly with developers to ensure swift resolution.
  • Champion best practices for software quality throughout the Agile lifecycle, including sprint planning, system demonstrations, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of dedicated experience in a Software Quality Assurance role with direct hands-on experience testing applications built on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Hands-on experience developing, debugging, and maintaining automated test scripts using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Proven experience conducting end-to-end manual testing, regression testing, and leading/supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs to validate endpoints, payloads, and data integrity.
  • Deep expertise operating in Agile/Scrum development environments and managing defects using tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile Development.
Desired Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Micro-Certification in Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript, GlideRecord, and ServiceNow architecture to troubleshoot failed ATF test steps.
  • Functional knowledge of ServiceNow Case Management, ITSM, or custom App Engine solutions.
Clearance Level:
  • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Salary Range:
  • The salary range for this position is $146,000 - $155,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
