  • Engages confidently and professionally with clients, project teams, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.

  • Can work independently across a broad geographic region while remaining an effective member of the wider QSE and operational teams.

  • Can provide practical advice on project risk assessments, QSE plans, high-risk activities, incident management and corrective actions.

  • Is comfortable conducting site inspections and audits and supporting continuous improvement of QSE performance.

  • Has the maturity and capability to progressively take on broader leadership and management responsibilities.

  • Has practical exposure to environmental management in construction and a sound understanding of quality management systems.

  • Experience and strong understanding within the management of injured workers and the RTW space.

  • Strong understanding of occupational health exposure and management

Experience

  • Ideally a minimum of 4–5 years' experience as a QSE professional within the construction industry.

  • Previous experience supporting multiple projects or geographically dispersed operations would be advantageous.

  • Preferred, a degree or higher qualification in WHS, safety or a related discipline.

  • Current First Aid and CPR training.

  • Mental Health First Aid training.

  • Formal incident investigation training, such as ICAM or equivalent.

  • RTW coordinator training

Desirable additional qualifications / competencies:

  • Relevant High Risk Work Licences.

  • Confined space training and related high-risk activity competencies.

  • Environmental management training or qualifications.

  • Quality management training or qualifications.

  • Internal or lead auditor certification, particularly relevant to integrated management systems.

  • Familiarity with quality, safety and environmental management systems and ISO-based frameworks would be beneficial.
