General Summary : We are seeking a Quality Support Technicians to join our growing Field Operations team. This role is responsible for performing Quality Support Program (QSP) visits at customer and retail partner locations, ensuring photo lab equipment consistently operates at peak performance through routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, quality inspections, and operational verification. The Quality Support Technician serves as a proactive field resource by identifying potential equipment issues before they result in downtime, maintaining exceptional print quality, and ensuring customer photo labs meet manufacturer and company standards. While this position is not primarily responsible for equipment repair, the technician will document and escalate any deficiencies requiring technical service. This role is ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented, take pride in preventative maintenance, provide exceptional customer service, and enjoy working independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position is based out of your local area with an expectation of approximately 95% travel (by car, plane, etc.). This role reports to the Field Operations Supervisor. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Perform scheduled Quality Support Program (QSP) visits at customer locations. Complete routine cleaning of photo lab equipment, printers, kiosks, and associated components in accordance with manufacturer and company procedures. Perform quality inspections to verify equipment is operating within established performance standards. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks designed to maximize equipment reliability and minimize service interruptions. Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and accurately document findings. Perform print quality evaluations, color checks, calibration verification, and operational testing. Identify issues requiring repair and communicate findings through proper service documentation and escalation procedures. Replace approved consumable maintenance items and perform routine preventative maintenance within established guidelines. Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, photographs, and documentation using company systems. Communicate professionally with store personnel regarding completed maintenance, equipment condition, and recommended follow-up actions. Ensure work areas are left clean, organized, and compliant with company and customer standards. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance materials, and assigned equipment. Travel frequently (regional and national as required) and adapt to scheduling demands, including overnight travel when necessary. Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and regulatory guidelines while performing field work. Represent the company professionally and deliver an exceptional customer experience during every Quality Support Program visit. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow detailed cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance procedures. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify abnormal equipment conditions. Ability to recognize potential equipment failures and accurately communicate findings. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple daily assignments. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to use mobile applications, service documentation systems, and standard computer software. Ability to work effectively under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Willingness to travel extensively and maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends. Ability to lift and transport equipment and supplies in accordance with company safety guidelines. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety procedures. Qualifications, Education and Experience: Minimum High School Diploma/GED. Minimum 2 years of experience in printer service/repair (inkjet and dye-sublimation required). Minimum 2 years in field services, installation, or similar technical background. Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and customer service skills. Familiarity with basic hand tools.
