Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting a Qualified Accountant for a well-established organisation based in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic business in a broad and varied role with responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and business support.

Key Responsibilities of the Qualified Accountant:

• Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow analysis.
• Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Produce statutory accounts and support year-end audit requirements.
• Manage VAT, Corporation Tax, payroll and other compliance obligations.
• Maintain strong financial controls, policies and processes across the business.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisers, banks and key stakeholders.
• Support finance process improvements and provide financial insight to aid decision-making.

The Successful Qualified Accountant Will Have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience preparing management and statutory accounts.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, budgeting and forecasting.
• Hands-on Sage 50 Accounts and Sage payroll experience.
• Knowledge of UK tax and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
