Qualified Financial Accountant

Location: Dublin 2

Contract: 12-month contract

Salary: €55,880 per annum

Working arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

We are recruiting a Financial Accountant on behalf of a leading global biotechnology company based in Dublin 2.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join an international finance team, taking responsibility for statutory financial reporting, preparation of financial statements, local compliance requirements and coordination of external audits.

The successful candidate will have practical experience across financial accounting and statutory reporting, with the ability to manage reporting deadlines, work with external auditors and support the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare local statutory financial statements and support the completion of statutory accounts and filings.
• Coordinate and support annual statutory audits, ensuring all documentation and information are provided within agreed deadlines.
• Plan and manage audit requirements, following up on outstanding queries and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
• Support monthly financial reporting and month-end close activities.
• Assist with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and account analysis.
• Ensure financial records and reporting information are accurate, complete and maintained in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Liaise with external accounting providers and auditors, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
• Support local and international finance teams with statutory and financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with ad hoc financial accounting and reporting activities as required.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant , a must
• Newly qualified accountants with around three years' Big Four experience will be considered.
• Strong practical experience preparing financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Previous involvement in external audits and audit coordination.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to following up outstanding information.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external providers.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems; SAP experience would be particularly advantageous.
• Exposure to multinational organisations and international financial reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP or local statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end reporting and general ledger activities.
