Role: Quality and EHS Coordinator

Location: Remote

Job Type: Remote/Telecommute (80-85%) | Travel (10-15%)

Reports To: Director of Business Optimization

Department: North American Operations (NAO)

Position Purpose

The Quality and EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining Leadec North America's Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. This position coordinates Quality and EHS reporting, supports ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 compliance activities, assists with internal and external audits, tracks corrective actions, and ensures management system documentation remains current and effective. The role serves as a key liaison between site operations, auditors, and corporate leadership to support continual improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities align with the organization's quality and EHS management systems and support ongoing certification efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Supports the administration and maintenance of Leadec's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Tracks and compiles monthly quality reporting from operational sites.
  • Communicates with site managers and operational leadership to obtain missing reports, clarify discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Reviews quality reports and associated data for completeness, accuracy, and trends.
  • Supports tracking, monitoring, and verification of the Control of Nonconforming Outputs process.
  • Maintains records associated with nonconforming outputs and ensures required actions are completed and documented.
  • Tracks and supports closure of Corrective Action Reviews (CARs) and Supplier Corrective Action Reviews (SCARs).
  • Tracks supplier performance and provides insights into overall supplier performance.
  • Follows up with responsible parties regarding overdue corrective actions and verifies completion status.
  • Assists with root cause analysis activities and corrective action effectiveness verification.
  • Reviews quality system documentation to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Supports the development, revision, and maintenance of quality policies, procedures, forms, work instructions, and related controlled documents.
  • Ensures quality management system documentation is updated and published in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates internal audit schedules and audit activities.
  • Supports external certification audits and surveillance audits.
  • Serves as a liaison between Leadec and certification bodies, registrars, and external auditors.
  • Assists with audit preparation activities, document reviews, evidence collection, and audit logistics.
  • Tracks audit findings, observations, opportunities for improvement, and corrective action responses.
  • Monitors project completion status and prepares periodic reports for leadership review.
  • Generates routine quality and continuous improvement performance reports.
  • Supports Management Review preparation activities including collection and organization of required performance data.
  • Works collaboratively with operational, functional, and leadership teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team by tracking reports, action items, program status, and compliance activities.
  • Assists with EHS reporting, metrics collection, and documentation management, maintaining accurate records and supports reporting requirements associated with corporate EHS initiatives.
  • Adheres to and supports all Quality and EHS objectives in accordance with applicable management system requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, finance, quality, or EHS related fields
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Experience with internal audits, corrective actions, or document control.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial services, facilities management, or technical operations environments.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training/certification preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, MS Teams, and similar programs

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Frequent communication through phone, video conference, and email.
  • Occasional travel to operational sites, customer locations, or audit events.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to access operational and industrial environments when conducting site visits or supporting audit activities.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 15% travel within the United States and Canada as business needs dictate.
