We are looking for a Quality and Knowledge Management Officer in support to ATG Europe at our HQ in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
The Quality and Knowledge Management Officer supports the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of ATG Europe's Quality Management System (QMS) and Knowledge Management activities.
The role combines operational quality assurance, knowledge management, process improvement and compliance monitoring of assigned framework contracts. It supports the organization in ensuring that applicable contractual, quality and internal requirements are understood, implemented, documented and periodically verified.
A key responsibility of the role is to check and audit assigned framework contracts and related activities, assessing whether applicable contractual and quality requirements have been translated into appropriate processes, responsibilities, controls, deliverables and records and are effectively implemented in practice.
The role provides independent quality assurance and compliance monitoring, supporting and challenging the relevant functions where necessary to ensure that applicable requirements are effectively implemented, monitored and maintained.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Quality Management System
Support the maintenance, implementation and continual improvement of ATG's Quality Management System;
Support compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable internal quality requirements;
Maintain and improve quality processes, procedures, work instructions, templates and associated records;
Support process owners in implementing QMS requirements consistently and effectively;
Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of established processes and controls;
Support the definition and monitoring of quality objectives and indicators;
Support the preparation of quality-related inputs for management reviews;
Identify systemic weaknesses, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement;
Promote consistent and practical application of quality requirements throughout the organisation;
Support quality awareness and training activities;
Document management and records management;
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Framework Contract Quality Assurance and Compliance
Review applicable framework-contract documentation to identify contractual, quality, management, reporting and compliance requirements;
Perform periodic quality and compliance reviews of assigned framework contracts;
Verify that applicable contractual requirements are reflected in appropriate internal processes, work instructions, controls and responsibilities;
Develop and maintain compliance matrices, audit checklists and other monitoring tools where applicable;
Verify that mandatory contractual deliverables are identified, controlled, monitored and supported by appropriate records;
Check compliance with applicable Project and Quality Management Plans and contract-specific management arrangements;
Monitor implementation of applicable contract/quality requirements at Framework Contract or sublevel, where relevant;
Verify that appropriate objective evidence is available to demonstrate fulfilment of applicable requirements;
Verify the completeness, accuracy and traceability of contractual quality records;
Support Framework level risk assessment and lesson learnt session;
Assess whether applicable quality requirements are appropriately communicated to subcontractors and other relevant parties;
Conduct or support audits of subcontractors and suppliers where assigned;
Identify compliance gaps, weaknesses, observations and improvement opportunities;
Record and report findings resulting from contract reviews and audits;
Coordinate and monitor corrective actions arising from identified findings;
Escalate significant, systemic, recurring or overdue compliance issues through the appropriate governance structure;
Support preparation for customer audits, surveillance activities and contractual quality reviews;
Provide quality and compliance guidance to project and contract management teams.
Audits and Compliance Monitoring
Support the development and implementation of the internal audit programme;
Plan, prepare and conduct assigned internal audits;
Perform contract-specific quality and compliance audits;
Prepare audit plans, checklists, reports and associated records;
Collect and evaluate objective evidence against defined requirements;
Document audit findings, observations and opportunities for improvement;
Monitor audit actions through to appropriate closure;
Support root-cause analysis associated with audit findings and nonconformities;
Follow up on the implementation of agreed corrective actions;
Verify corrective-action evidence and effectiveness, where applicable;
Support certification, customer, contractual and other external audits;
Monitor recurring findings and recommend systemic improvements where appropriate.
Nonconformity and Corrective Action Management
Support the identification, registration and management of nonconformities, observations and improvement actions;
Support and facilitate structured root-cause analysis;
Monitor remedial and corrective actions;
Follow up with action owners against agreed actins and deadlines;
Review evidence submitted in support of completed corrective actions;
Support effectiveness reviews where applicable;
Maintain appropriate traceability of findings, decisions, actions and supporting evidence;
Identify recurring or systemic issues requiring wider corrective or preventive measures;
Escalate significant, recurring or overdue issues;
Use findings and identified trends as input to continual improvement activities.
Knowledge Management
Support the implementation of Knowledge Management activities across the organization and assigned contracts, including the coordination and follow-up of training activities, skills and competence directories, onboarding and handover activities, lessons learned and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date competence and knowledge records, help identify training, skills and knowledge gaps, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure required information is captured and maintained. The role also supports the effective transfer and retention of operational and contractual knowledge, contributing to business continuity, employee development and the sharing of good practices across the organisation.

Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information/Knowledge Management or another relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience;
At least 8 years of relevant experience;
Relevant professional experience in quality management, quality assurance, compliance, knowledge management or process management;
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and Quality Management Systems;
Experience with internal audits, compliance assessments or quality reviews;
Experience reviewing requirements and evaluating objective evidence;
Experience with document and records management;
Knowledge or experience of nonconformity and corrective-action management;
Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking;
Ability to understand requirements and translate them into practical controls and verification activities;
Strong organizational and follow-up skills;
Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly SharePoint, Teams, Word and Excel;
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification or equivalent audit training;
Experience auditing projects, suppliers, subcontractors or contractual activities;
Experience with framework contracts, service contracts or project-based environments;
Experience within engineering, space, scientific or other technical environments;
Experience with contractual quality assurance;
Knowledge of root-cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies;
Experience supporting training, skills/competence management or Knowledge Management activities;
Familiarity with integrated management systems;
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Continuous improvement mindset;
Ability to work across different projects, functions and contractual environments;
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
