Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (AccelQ)

We are currently recruiting, for integration in our internal team/client, professionals with the following profile:

QA Automation (AccelQ) - Remote

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance, with strong specialization in Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with AccelQ with minimum of 4 years of experience
• Proven experience designing, developing, executing and maintaining automated regression test suites using AccelQ.
• Experience assessing existing automation frameworks, identifying broken or obsolete scripts, and implementing corrective actions
• Strong knowledge of automated regression testing methodologies, test design and test coverage optimization.
• Experience creating reusable, maintainable and scalable automated test scripts.
• Ability to translate business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria into automated test scenarios.
• Experience investigating automated test failures and distinguishing between application defects, test script issues and environment-related problems.
• Experience managing test data and maintaining supporting test documentation.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and supporting sprint/release testing cycles.
• Experience with defect management, test execution reporting and communication of testing results.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken (B2 or higher).

Highly Valued Technical Experience

• Experience recovering or modernizing large existing automation test suites.
• Advanced knowledge of AccelQ reusable components and automation best practices.
• Experience with risk-based testing and prioritization of critical business flows.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of API testing and end-to-end integration testing.
• Experience executing automated tests across multiple testing environments.
• Experience collaborating with development, QA, Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Service Now or equivalent test and defect management tools.
• Experience producing test execution evidence, automation coverage reports and quality metrics.
• Previous experience in complex enterprise applications or business-critical systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Assess the existing AccelQ automation suite, identifying obsolete scripts, execution failures and coverage gaps.
• Define and execute a remediation plan, prioritizing critical business processes.
• Develop and maintain reusable AccelQ automated regression tests.
• Execute automated regression suites during agreed sprint and release cycles.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes and report application defects.
• Maintain test data, execution evidence and automation documentation.
• Monitor automation coverage, execution results and outstanding maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with development, QA and business teams to ensure alignment with testing priorities
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve automation reliability and efficiency.
