Quality Assurance Business Analyst III (Remote)

ROTHE is seeking a Quality Assurance Business Analyst III to provide application quality assurance and testing support for NASA's Luna/NMC platform on the eMITS contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications NASA's OCIO and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Functional Responsibilities:

This position will include but not be limited to the following activities:

• Ability to maintain and update a government-visible work plan, track priorities, and meet committed testing activities
• Develop risk-based test plans, cases, data needs, and entry/exit criteria with full coverage of critical and high-risk functions
• Execute functional, regression, integration, workflow, role/permission, data-validation, usability, accessibility, interface, and smoke testing with clear, reproducible evidence
• Experience with Google Docker for containerized testing environments
• Experience with GitHub to access code repositories and track version control
• Experience with Google Cloud platform environments
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies and tools
• Manage defects end-to-end: document, classify, track, communicate, escalate when required, and retest before closure
• Prepare release-readiness assessments and conduct post-release validation
• Produce monthly testing metrics and identify practical improvement opportunities
• Maintain procedures, templates, and knowledge artifacts; support quarterly reviews and transition package preparation
• Meet NASA Level of Confidence (LoC) requirements and complete all mandatory NASA training for access to systems

Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS

Minimum Experience: Minimum 6 years of directly relevant experience supporting business analysis activities in IT or enterprise service environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in application quality assurance and testing in IT or enterprise service environments
• Experience with Google Docker for containerized testing environments
• Experience with GitHub to access code repositories and track version control
• Experience with Google Cloud platform environments
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Ability to develop comprehensive test plans with full coverage of critical and high-risk functions
• Strong defect management skills including documentation, classification, tracking, and escalation
• Experience preparing release-readiness assessments and conducting post-release validation
• Ability to produce testing metrics and identify improvement opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with configuration management practices and Government change/control records
• Experience with accessibility/usability testing and role/permission testing
• Strong written documentation skills and internal quality control prior to delivery
