Quality Assurance Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and frameworks. Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, you'll help deliver high-quality software that meets user needs and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  

• Design and implement QA methodologies and test frameworks
  

• Perform thorough functional, regression, and performance testing
  

• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug-tracking systems
  

• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose issues
  

• Participate in code reviews from a testing perspective
  

• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
  

• Analyze and report on test results to stakeholders
  

• Assist in defining and implementing quality standards and best practices
  

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging testing technologies
  

• Mentor junior QA team members and promote a quality-first mindset across the organizations
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
  

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
  

• Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques
  

• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
  

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG)
  

• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
  

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
  

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
  

• Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI
  

• Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  

• Experience with mobile application testing
  

• Understanding of database concepts and SQL
  

• Knowledge of security testing principles
  

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  

• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture
  

• Experience with behaviour-driven development (BDD) and tools like Cucumber
