🚀 We're Hiring: QA Engineer / QA Tester
📍 Location: Bucharest – Cotroceni (3 minutes from Eroilor Metro Station)
💼 Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent Contract (CIM)
🏢 Hybrid: 1 day/week remote

We are Starbyte, a Romanian software company with over 20 years of experience in developing digital solutions for the financial, banking and fintech industries. Our platforms support digital onboarding, lending, CRM, DMS, KYC, AML, collections and other business-critical processes used by banks, IFNs and corporate clients.
We're looking for a QA Engineer / QA Tester who enjoys understanding how applications work, identifying issues before clients do, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software.
What you'll do
✅ Test new functionalities and customer implementations;
✅ Create and execute test scenarios and test cases;
✅ Identify, document and track software defects;
✅ Retest fixes and validate production releases;
✅ Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers;
✅ Support the investigation and resolution of incidents reported by customers;
✅ Participate in testing APIs, integrations and platform services;
✅ Contribute to improving QA processes and testing documentation.
What we're looking for
✔️ Experience in Manual Testing;
✔️ Good analytical thinking and attention to detail;
✔️ Ability to understand business requirements and transform them into test scenarios;
✔️ Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira or similar);
✔️ SQL knowledge is a plus;
✔️ API testing (Postman or similar) is an advantage;
✔️ Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude;
✔️ Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and within a team.
Nice to have
⭐ Experience with applications in the financial, banking or fintech industry;
⭐ Experience with Test Automation (nice to have);
⭐ Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
