Quality Control Lead (Product & Platform)

1) Test Automation Development (Hands-on Focus)

• Directly design and set up the automated testing framework from the ground up (using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
• Write and maintain automated test scripts for critical feature flows (UI and API) to reduce manual testing efforts.
• Collaborate with DevOps/Engineering teams to successfully integrate these test scripts into the project's basic CI/CD pipeline.

2) Team Coordination & Mentoring

• Allocate tasks, track progress, and support in resolving daily blockers for QC team members.
• Review test plans and test cases of junior QC members to ensure adequate test coverage and quality.
• Mentor and guide team members, specifically transitioning manual QC engineers toward an automation mindset.

3) Test Planning & Process Execution

• Take full ownership of release quality within the assigned Product/Squad scope.
• Act as the final gatekeeper by reviewing UAT and release checklists prior to go-live.
• Maintain and standardize core QC templates and documentation for consistent application across the team.

4) Defect Management & Collaboration

• Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle; lead Defect Triage sessions with Dev and PM teams to finalize priority and resolution strategies.
• Work closely with Developers and BAs early in the requirement phase (Grooming/Refinement) to ensure explicit and testable Acceptance Criteria.

Skills & Knowledge & Qualification Core Competencies

• 3–5 years of QC/QA experience for web-based products or internal systems, including proven experience in guiding, reviewing test cases, or mentoring small teams/interns (even without an official managerial title).
• Mandatory Automation Skills: Ability to write scripts and set up basic frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium from scratch (not just record-and-play tools).
• Proficient in API testing via Postman (capable of validating payloads, status codes, and data integrations).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.

Domain / Plus

• Experience testing internal data management systems, role-based approval flows, or ERP/CRM platforms.
• Solid SQL skills for database querying and data validation.
• Experience in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments (MarTech, agency operations, e-commerce) is an advantage.
