The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Engineering Analyst to join our IT team in our Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT; Raleigh, NC offices on a hybrid schedule. The Quality Engineering Analyst must have 3-5 years of experience in manual and test automation who is eager to explore, adopt, and implement AI‑driven testing approaches. This role is ideal for a quality engineer who has a strong automation foundation and is motivated to evolve traditional testing practices using modern AI and intelligent automation techniques. Some of the Quality Engineering Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain manual and automated test frameworks for web and API applications.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and release activities.
• Execute and enhance functional, regression, integration, and smoke tests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies early in the SDLC.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML‑based testing tools to improve test coverage, defect detection, and execution efficiency.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and clearly document defects with actionable insights.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
• Promote quality, best practices and continuous improvement within the QE team.
• Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements/Essential Functions

• with a diverse group of individuals.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office suite and other
• systems utilized by the department.
• Must maintain a high level of accuracy and follow-through on commitments.
• Requires the ability to maintain confidential information.
• Capable and willing to adopt to changes as needed.
• Ability to follow work instructions as directed.
• Ability to stay focused and productive during required working hours.
• Respond to internal and external clients as established by department guidelines.
• Ability to travel when the position requires.

The expertise you bring

• Degree in computer science
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in QE /test automation
• Familiarity with Property/Casualty or Specialty insurance preferred.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC
• Experience testing web applications and APIs (REST, JSON, Postman, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Genuine interest and willingness to explore AI‑powered testing tools and approaches
• SQL knowledge
• Growth mindset with a passion for innovation in quality engineering

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $71,000 - $ 101,000 based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $90,000 - $105,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
