Quality Intern

If you are an Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Quality Engineering Intern! Based in our Austin, TX location, the Global Quality Intern supports the Global Quality team in delivering high-quality data solutions, insights, and tools that enable proactive quality risk reduction and data-driven decision making. The intern contributes to quality improvement initiatives, reporting, process analysis, and projects that support Emerson manufacturing sites and global quality partners.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and process performance.
• Participate in problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of implemented improvements.
• Contribute to proactive quality risk reduction efforts through process evaluation, trend monitoring, and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and project records that support operational excellence.
• Assist in preparing materials, summaries, and presentations for quality reviews and leadership updates.
• Support quality engineering projects and cross-functional teams in driving process improvements and achieving business objectives.
• May interact with teammates in numerous global locations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline)
• Familiarity with statistical or analytical methods
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
  

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering
• Exposure to quality or manufacturing systems
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
