About this Position

  • This role includes planning and overseeing laboratory activities, improving testing processes, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant testing of raw materials and products.
  • You will lead the laboratory team and work closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations, industry standards, and company requirements.

What you´ll do

  • Follow cosmetic regulations and company policies, and ensure all laboratory work meets quality and safety requirements.
  • Develop and improve testing procedures to ensure raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished products, and finished products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Manage laboratory equipment, instruments, reagents, reference materials, and samples to ensure reliable testing results.
  • Ensure all test results are accurate and traceable, with complete and reliable records.
  • Investigate abnormal test results, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on improvement plans with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Monitor product quality during production, assess quality issues, and review investigation reports and rework plans from production teams or suppliers.
  • Participate in product and process change assessments and validation activities.
  • Provide quality-related training to production teams, suppliers, and contractors.

What makes you a good fit

  • College degree or above in Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in laboratory testing or laboratory management.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Good knowledge of cosmetic physical and chemical testing, packaging testing, finished product testing, and microbiological testing.
  • Familiar with common laboratory equipment and its maintenance.
  • Able to develop testing procedures and solve testing-related problems independently.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with different departments.
  • Responsible, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to prepare testing reports, laboratory procedures, and audit reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • ISO 22716 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Other relevant quality management certifications are a plus.
