The Client

Our client is a well-established, privately owned construction and engineering business delivering projects across the UK. They are committed to innovative, sustainable ways of building and are known for a supportive, close-knit culture where people are valued and development is encouraged. They are looking to add a Quality Manager to the team.

The Role of Quality Manager

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will oversee quality assurance across construction and maintenance activity on sites throughout the UK, making sure projects and works meet contractual, legal and safety standards. The role is remote-based, with regular travel to site across England and Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure sites comply with the company's management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Develop site auditing procedures, including non-conformance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve the management system
• Mentor site managers on construction site quality management processes
• Create and monitor project quality metrics across all sites
• Drive improvements in processes, templates and information management
• Ensure QITPs and Gateways are followed on site and during pre-construction
• Keep site quality, environmental and H&S documentation up to date, and make sure environmental information is being collated
• Ad hoc duties as required

About you

• 3 to 7 years' experience in a quality management role with a main contractor
• Experience of creating or implementing an on-site quality management process (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to manage your own workload and work remotely
• Full UK driving licence
