About ACE CPAs
ACE CPAs (acecpas.com) is a fast-growing, AI-forward CPA and advisory firm serving US business owners across construction, medical and dental practices, SaaS, and professional services. Alongside bookkeeping and tax, we run a growing Quality of Earnings and M&A advisory practice, delivering buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for business owners, private equity groups, and lenders.
We are hiring a Quality of Earnings and Financial Due Diligence Specialist to own QoE engagements end to end: analyze the numbers, build the workpapers, and write the report. This is a hands-on transaction advisory role for someone who has already run financial due diligence, not learned it secondhand.
READ THIS FIRST
This role is for professionals who have done financial due diligence and QoE work directly. You are a strong fit only if all of these are true:
- You have worked on buy-side and/or sell-side financial due diligence engagements.
- You have built quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital analyses yourself.
- You have drafted QoE or due diligence reports that went to a client, PE group, or lender.
- You are fluent in US GAAP financials.
- You can read a target company's books in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and tie them to your analysis.
If you have an audit or accounting background but have not done QoE or transaction due diligence yet, this is likely not the right role at this stage.
What you will own
Financial due diligence
- Lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for corporate clients, private equity groups, and lenders.
- Analyze quality of earnings, EBITDA adjustments, net working capital, and cash flows.
- Assess earnings quality, asset values, and overall business performance during live transactions.
Reporting and analysis
- Build clean, formula-driven workpapers using the firm's QoE templates.
- Draft detailed reports that summarize findings, business performance, adjustments, and transaction risks.
- Present findings clearly to clients and firm leadership.
Client and engagement management
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients throughout the transaction.
- Manage multiple engagements at once and keep each one moving to deadline.
- Communicate proactively by email and Zoom, and coordinate with the internal accounting and tax teams.
Requirements
- A professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- At least 5 years in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, audit, or closely related finance work, with direct QoE or FDD engagement experience.
- Hands-on experience building quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital analyses.
- Strong US GAAP knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
- Comfortable working in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- Excellent written and spoken English, able to produce client-ready reports.
- Available full-time during US business hours for calls, meetings, and reviews.
Preferred
- Big 4 or national-firm audit or transaction services background.
- Experience with private equity clients and multiple concurrent deals.
- Ex-investment banking or strong deal experience.
- SMB clients in construction, medical, dental, or SaaS.
- Comfortable using AI tools for research, drafting, and analysis.
What we value
- Ownership from data room to final report.
- Judgment and critical thinking over template-filling.
- Accurate, defensible numbers and clear writing.
- Strong organization and documentation.
- Growth and career path
This role sits at the center of a growing M&A and QoE practice. Strong performers take on larger and more complex deals, lead engagements, and help shape how the firm delivers transaction advisory.
Work setup
- Full-time, remote, based in Pakistan.
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST (US business hours), with a one-hour break.
- Direct collaboration with the M&A lead and firm leadership.
