Do you want to help shape how quality drives operational excellence across a global renewable energy business?

Muehlhan Wind Service is seeking an experienced Quality Specialist to strengthen our global quality framework and business performance.

As part of the Corporate Operational Excellence team, you will drive process improvement, supplier quality, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Working closely with business leaders and operational teams, you will help develop efficient, scalable, and compliant ways of working that support growth, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

With a strong foundation in ISO 9001, you will also contribute to management system governance, supplier quality, and the integration of newly acquired entities across the MWS group.


About the role

As a Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening MWS' global quality framework and operational excellence capabilities.

Based in our Mortágua office, Portugal, the role involves working closely with business leaders and operational teams. You will improve business processes, strengthen supplier quality, drive performance improvements, and support sustainable growth initiatives across the organization and together with acquired entities.

At the same time, you will ensure that management systems and governance frameworks remain effective, compliant, and aligned with international standards and customer expectations.

Finally, the role combines strategic development with hands-on execution and provides a unique opportunity to influence how MWS operates and scales globally.

Key responsibilities

Act as a trusted quality advisor to management, supporting decision-making through business and operating performance analysis, risk assessments, governance, and improvement recommendations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive quality and operational excellence initiatives across the global organization;

  • Develop and enhance business processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and operational performance;

  • Lead quality, governance, and process integration initiatives for newly acquired entities, supporting alignment with WS standards while enabling operational performance and business growth;

  • Lead Supplier Quality Management activities, including supplier qualification, audits, risk assessments, and performance development;

  • Monitor and analyze quality performance through KPIs, trends, customer feedback, supplier performance, and audit results;

  • Facilitate problem-solving and root cause analysis activities to support sustainable improvements;

  • Support business leaders with performance reviews, quality governance, risk assessments, and improvement planning;

  • Drive process harmonization and integration across countries, business units, and newly acquired entities;

  • Maintain and further develop the Integrated Management System and support ISO certification activities;

  • Deliver training, coaching, and professional guidance on quality management and operational excellence.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Have at least 7 years of experience within Quality Management, Operational Excellence, or Integrated Management Systems;

  • Understand how quality can contribute to operational performance and business value;

  • Have experience driving process improvements across complex organizations;

  • Is comfortable working with performance data, KPIs, trends, and root cause analysis;

  • Can influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels;

  • Has experience working in international and matrix organizations;

  • Possesses solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and certified management systems and practical experience maintaining and improving certified management systems. Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage;

  • Have audit experience, preferably as Lead Auditor, covering internal, supplier, customer, or certification audits;

  • Have hands-on experience with supplier quality, non-conformity management, root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality performance management;

  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and the ability to convert performance data into meaningful improvement actions;

  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and build constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Work in a structured, proactive, and solution-oriented manner.
