Your responsibilities in this role will include: The role is in the Quant Solutions Group within the firm and involves: Conducting research on FX markets and currency risk management using advanced quantitative, statistical, machine learning and AI techniques. Analysing structured, semi-structured and unstructured data to identify insights, signals and opportunities to improve risk management strategies and analytics. Researching and evaluating the latest developments in quantitative finance, AI and machine learning and applying relevant techniques to real-world financial market problems. Developing robust research prototypes and analytical workflows in Python. Providing occasional support in deploying successful research into production, working with technology teams where required. The primary focus of the role is quantitative research rather than software engineering. Staying up to date with developments in financial markets, quantitative research, AI and machine learning. Requirements: A recent graduate in a quantitative field from a reputable university, ideally in a subject involving substantial quantitative, statistical and programming components. Proficiency in Python is essential, alongside experience with, or strong interest in, machine learning and AI. Required Skills: Education: BSc/MSc in a technical degree, including but not limited to Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering. Machine Learning and AI: Experience with machine learning and AI techniques, or a strong ability and willingness to learn new techniques quickly. Python and Data Structures: Strong Python programming skills, including familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn and core concepts such as data structures, algorithms and computational complexity. Quantitative Research: Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate hypotheses, test ideas rigorously and interpret empirical results. Financial Markets: Demonstrable interest in FX, financial markets, quantitative investing or risk management. Desirable Skills and Experience : Experience with financial time-series analysis or quantitative research. Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph. Understanding of RAG, graph databases or knowledge graphs. Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS. Familiarity with Docker and basic deployment workflows. Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
