We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented quantitative analyst to join the Global Multi-Asset Research team at T. Rowe Price. This position is within the Strategic Asset Allocation team and will focus on investment research and capabilities that will be deployed over longer term (5+ year) investment horizons. In this role, you will blend portfolio objectives, independent investment research, and T. Rowe Price capabilities to develop portfolio design proposals. These include:

  • Strategic asset allocation (SAA) and portfolio construction recommendations
  • Assist in the design of new products/portfolios and investment framework development
  • Research, own, and succinctly communicate investment views used as inputs for our SAA modelling
  • Review multi-asset portfolios managed by our division to improve alignment with the evolving market opportunity set, peer groups, relevant benchmarks, and the current investment views (capital market assumptions) of our team and the broader firm

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct financial, quantitative, and statistical analyses, portfolio optimizations, risk and scenario analysis, and other analytical assessments that contribute to the management of the multi-asset portfolios managed by our division.

2. Collaborate across the Equity, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset Divisions. Develop a deep knowledge of the resources and investment processes leveraged within these teams and apply them (as appropriate) when evaluating and recommending portfolios.

3. Engage with internal stakeholders and external markets (clients, prospects, consultants) in the investment process. Approach investment decisions and portfolio implementation with curiosity, energy, and a desire for thoroughness, attentiveness to detail, and excellence.

4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global investment trends and T. Rowe Price capabilities. Contribute to our team’s capital market assumptions. Maintain a knowledge base required to successfully represent the capabilities of T. Rowe Price and the philosophy and investment processes used by the Multi-Asset Global Research Team in developing the strategic asset allocation of our portfolios.

5. Contribute to our team’s expanding library of analytical capabilities, with the mindset of scaling functionality across users and use cases.
