Quantity Surveyor

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who combines strong commercial capability with sound judgement, accountability and a collaborative approach.

You will work closely with our project, construction and development teams to protect project value, manage commercial risk and support successful delivery. We are looking for someone who can see beyond the numbers—building strong working relationships while bringing commercial discipline and practical solutions to each project.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare feasibility studies, cost plans and detailed cost analyses, identifying commercial risks and practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Lead tendering and procurement activities, including Bills of Quantities, tender evaluations and contractor/subcontractor commercial negotiations.
• Monitor budgets and commercial performance, providing clear valuations, cost reports, payment certificates and cash-flow forecasts.
• Manage Provisional Sums, variations, change orders and post-contract commercial activities through project close-out.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts while maintaining reliable cost data and market benchmarks.
• Partner with Project Managers, contractors, consultants and suppliers to solve problems, manage risk and drive project profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification Quantity Surveying experience, including large mixed-use development and construction projects.
• Strong experience across budgeting, procurement, tendering, cost control, change management and final accounts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PlanSwift and Excel, supported by strong commercial and analytical capability.
• A commercially minded, accountable problem-solver who exercises sound judgement and takes ownership of outcomes.
• A strong communicator and relationship builder who can collaborate effectively, negotiate confidently and work constructively across multidisciplinary teams.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

• Salary: $70,000 to $98,000 per annum
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday - 45 hours per week
• Benefits: Bonus Eligibility, vacation, gas allowance, health insurance, pension, life insurance and other benefits that exceed the Labour Act.
