Job Summary

We are looking for experienced RAN / 4G / 5G Engineers to support telecom operators and network technology customers in Romania. The engineer will be responsible for RAN operations, integration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and optimization across 2G/3G/4G LTE and 5G NR networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage 2G/3G/4G/5G RAN networks.
• Perform fault monitoring, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Analyze RAN KPIs including RRC, ERAB, throughput, handover, PRB utilization, accessibility and retainability.
• Perform 4G LTE and 5G NR performance analysis and optimization.
• Support RAN integration, commissioning, configuration and software upgrades.
• Perform RCA for network outages, degradation, call drops, congestion and coverage issues.
• Execute configuration and parameter changes through OSS/EMS platforms.
• Support VoLTE, VoNR, Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, DSS and mobility optimization.
• Coordinate with Core, Transmission, IP, RF and Field Engineering teams.
• Work with OEM/vendor teams for L2/L3 escalations.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards and RCA documentation.
• Support automation and scripting initiatives using Python, Bash, Perl or SQL where applicable.
• Participate in 24x7 support/on-call activities where required.

Technical Skills

Must Have:

• Strong knowledge of LTE / 4G and 5G NR RAN.
• Understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G architecture and call flows.
• RAN KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
• Fault and incident management.
• RAN configuration and integration.
• Understanding of eNodeB / gNodeB / BTS / NodeB / BSC / RNC.
• Knowledge of OSS/NMS/EMS tools.
• Good understanding of IP and telecom transport.

Education
