At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We are looking for a passionate RAMS Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety solutions for our rail systems. You will collaborate with dedicated teams to ensure that every system we deliver meets the highest standards of performance and safety, contributing to the sustainable mobility of tomorrow.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Lead RAMS analyses to ensure system scalability and compliance with international standards such as EN 50126 and EN 50129.
  • Collaborate with design, validation, and project management teams to integrate RAMS requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop reliability models and perform fault tree analysis (FTA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance system reliability.
  • Drive innovation by implementing advanced simulation tools and predictive maintenance methodologies to improve system performance.
  • Promote knowledge sharing across teams by developing RAMS documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines.
You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in reliability engineering tools such as ReliaSoft or Isograph.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and lifecycle management in rail systems.
  • Experience with data-driven analysis and root cause investigation techniques.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of safety and reliability.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.

How Success Is Measured

  • Achievement of project delivery timelines and compliance with RAMS targets.
  • Effective collaboration and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Reduction in system defects and measurable improvements in operational efficiency.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with cutting-edge digital tools and contribute to Alstom’s global innovation strategy.
  • Make a tangible impact on sustainable mobility from our São Paulo office.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning and international collaboration opportunities.
Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
