Job Summary

Lead a high-impact rare disease sales team and help advance awareness, access, and outcomes for patients with unmet medical needs.
Kedrion Biopharma is seeking an experienced National Sales Director to lead its U.S. Rare Disease sales organization supporting Coagadex, RYPLAZIM, and Koate. This high-visibility leadership role is responsible for executing commercial strategy, delivering nationwide sales performance, developing a team of Rare Disease Specialists, and building strong partnerships with key customers, specialty pharmacies, treatment centers, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate brings a proven history of pharmaceutical sales leadership, deep knowledge of the rare disease landscape, and a passion for driving results while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

What you'll do

  • Lead the execution of national commercial strategies and brand plans across Kedrion's rare disease portfolio.
  • Drive nationwide sales performance and achievement of business objectives.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and inspire a team of Rare Disease Specialists to maximize performance and customer impact.
  • Foster a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative sales culture built on integrity and compliance.
  • Guide field execution of strategic account plans to support product adoption and business growth.
  • Serve as a primary Kedrion contact for specialty pharmacy centers of excellence, key opinion leaders, treatment centers, and other strategic customers.
  • Translate marketing strategies into actionable sales initiatives and field execution plans.
  • Manage sales resources and regional budgets to support commercial priorities and maximize return on investment.
  • Make data-driven business decisions related to resource deployment, sales activities, and market opportunities.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, specialty pharmacies, payers, distributors, patient organizations, caregivers, and other stakeholders throughout the treatment journey.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical knowledge within the bleeding disorders and rare disease therapeutic area.
  • Lead national sales meetings, field visits, and on-site coaching activities to strengthen team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Business Intelligence, Market Access, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and manage departmental expenses in alignment with established budgets.
  • Drive effective utilization of CRM systems, customer segmentation tools, and sales analytics to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, competitive activity, and business performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Provide regular field feedback to commercial leadership on customer needs, market dynamics, and emerging trends within the rare disease space.
  • Help prepare the organization for future product launches and portfolio expansion opportunities.

Qualifications and need-to-know

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales leadership experience.
  • Experience leading sales teams within rare disease, orphan drug, specialty pharmaceutical, biologic, or related therapeutic markets strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, infused, or injectable products preferred.
  • Demonstrated success delivering sales results and leading high-performing commercial organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of sales operations, incentive compensation, field analytics, and sales training.
  • Understanding of U.S. market access, payer, specialty pharmacy, and site-of-care dynamics.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative healthcare stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to analyze business performance and translate insights into effective sales strategies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 50% or more, including regular field travel.
  • Must reside near a major airport to support travel requirements.
