The impact you could make Our R&D Engineers are key in designing and building intelligent systems. Your expertise will be essential in translating advanced research into high-performance, production-ready solutions as you: Develop, maintain, and deploy computer vision algorithms and models, adapting off-the-shelf solutions to meet our unique product needs. Own the full machine learning lifecycle from initial ideation and development through to testing, validation, and real-time deployment. Explore novel methods to solve complex challenges in computer vision and multimodal systems, keeping our tech at the absolute cutting edge. Engage in code reviews and cross-functional collaboration to ensure best practices and foster a culture of knowledge sharing. ( work may require occasional travel to Sweden, depending on the project) Who are we looking for Our ideal R&D Engineer candidate has a solid programming foundation and enjoys exploring the possibilities of emerging technologies. You bring a curious, inventive mindset and are motivated by solving complex technical challenges and turning ideas into impactful solutions. Essential qualifications: A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in software engineering, C++, and Rust Experience in machine learning and/or computer vision Capacity to understand and implement complex algorithms Strong skills in Python, ML frameworks, and MLOps tooling Experience optimising inference performance on GPU and edge platforms Ability to work across teams and support junior engineers A passion for staying at the forefront of computer vision and machine learning technology through continuous learning Advanced English proficiency Bonus points for: Specialized knowledge of working with Radar and Lidar sensors , Sensor Fusion, or FUSA (Functional Safety) Experience with Edge AI or embedded GPU platforms Practical experience with multimodal solutions or computer graphics Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Git, Gerrit, Jira and Confluence Why join Visage Technologies: Meaningful work: You'll be working on our own products and services - the kind of projects where you can actually see the impact of your ideas and effort as the company grows.
