Real Estate Agent

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Real Estate Agent. The Real Estate Agent will manage client relationships, conduct buyer and seller consultations, and guide clients through the full real estate transaction process. Daily responsibilities include prospecting for new leads, listing and marketing properties, preparing and reviewing contracts, coordinating showings and virtual tours, and negotiating offers. The agent will collaborate with internal and external partners such as bond originators, and attorneys to ensure smooth closings. The role requires consistent communication, accurate documentation, and adherence to all applicable real estate laws and company policies while working independently from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants through professional communication and consistent follow-up.
• Lead Generation and Business Development
• Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, digital marketing, and participation in local property activities.
• Property Listings and Marketing
• Assist with property appraisals, listing preparation, photography coordination, marketing campaigns, and maintaining accurate property information.
• Sales and Lettings Support
• Arrange and conduct property viewings, qualify prospective clients, communicate offers, and support the transaction process under appropriate supervision.
• Local Market Knowledge
• Develop knowledge of Johannesburg North suburbs, property values, amenities, schools, transport routes, and local market trends.
• Administration and Compliance
• Maintain client records, update the CRM, manage viewing schedules, prepare documentation, and follow agency procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements

• Candidates must live in the North of Johannesburg, have reliable transport, a laptop and a smartphone.
• Must be able to sustain yourself financially for at least 6 to 8 months before you start earning commission
• Education: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Experience: No prior real estate experience required; sales, customer service, or administrative experience is advantageous.
• Regulatory: Complete the required property practitioner training and registration process applicable in South Africa.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and negotiation skills.
• Technology: Basic computer literacy and confidence using email, social media, and CRM systems.
• Personal attributes: Self-motivated, professional, resilient, presentable, and able to work independently.
• Mobility: A valid driver's licence and/or access to reliable transport are advantageous, as the role may require travel between properties and client meetings.
