Social Media Manager (Remote, Jamaica)

Every brand has a voice. Yours is about to be the one deciding what that voice sounds like — what gets posted, what gets a reply, what gets seen at all.

At TalentPop App, we're building our own social media team from the ground up, and we need someone who actually gets what makes people stop scrolling. Not just someone who can schedule posts — someone who understands timing, tone, and what turns a comment section into an actual community.

This one's remote, permanent, based in Jamaica. No office floor, no fixed desk, no commuting into Kingston or Mo Bay traffic — just you, running our social presence from wherever home is.

What the role actually involves:

Making the content

• Build and curate posts that match our brand voice and actually move the needle on our goals
• Take long-form content and cut it down into reels, stories, and short-form posts that hit different platforms right
• Work with our internal team on direction, priorities, and keeping things on-brand

Getting it out there

• Schedule and publish across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and wherever else makes sense
• Keep the content calendar tight and coordinated with the rest of the marketing team
• Know what works on each platform and post accordingly — no copy-paste content

Owning the comments and DMs

• Reply to what's coming in across our socials, not letting messages pile up
• Handle pre-sale questions, post-purchase concerns, and general community chatter
• Make sure nobody who reaches out on social gets left on read
• Know when to bring in another team member for the bigger issues
• Keep tabs on what's working — engagement, moderation load, content performance — and speak up when you spot a pattern

You'll be good at this if you:

• Have 1–3 years running social media or something close to it
• Actually know Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — not just posting, but the community side too
• Write in a way that sounds like a person, with a real sense of brand voice
• Can juggle a content calendar and a dozen priorities without dropping any
• Have touched scheduling tools before, and know your way around Canva or Adobe
• Don't need someone checking in every hour to stay on track

What you'll need:

• Your own PC or laptop — no borrowed gear
• Reliable internet, minimum 25 Mbps up and down
• A workspace where you can actually focus
