Drive Financial Integrity & Payment Analytics for Global E-Commerce

About The Company

Marbill is a fast-growing brand within the Luna Group, a global leader redefining the future of e-commerce. Marbill empowers merchants worldwide and focuses on delivering cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions.

We are an ambitious, agile team comprised of professionals from over 30 countries. We thrive on challenges, move quickly, and value solution-oriented thinking. We equip our team with the tools and support they need to succeed, fostering both professional and personal growth in a fully remote environment.

What We Offer

💻 Fully Remote Position: Work from anywhere in the world.

⏰ Flexible Working Hours: Work when you're most productive.

🎁 Referral Bonuses: Get rewarded for bringing great talent on board.

💰 Competitive Salary: Based on your experience, with regular reviews.

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist to join our Commercial Strategy team. In this role, you will own end-to-end financial reconciliation, monitor processing metrics, and manage risk across our global merchant portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of complex payment data modeling, business analytics, and executive decision support.

If you're looking to boost your career, now is the perfect opportunity!

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end reconciliation across our portfolio of merchant entities in the US, EU and LATAM, matching invoices, acquirer/PSP settlements, payouts and bank movements at merchant and MID level.
  • Reconcile chargeback-related costs and credits (dispute fees, RDR, VAMP fees, rolling reserves and reserve releases) against what acquirers and partners actually charged or credited.
  • Track payment plans and installment schedules with partners, flagging overdue, overpaid and in-transit amounts with a clear status per merchant.
  • Run the monthly reconciliation close: exception logs, aging of open items, documentation and sign-off.
  • Act as business controller for the payments side: monitor processing costs, refunds and chargebacks by entity and geography, analyze variances against budget and forecast, and flag margin risks early.
  • Produce clear, concise reporting for leadership on financial exposure, recoveries and open issues.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in reconciliation, financial control or business controlling, ideally in payments, fintech, e-commerce or subscription businesses.
  • Solid understanding of the card payments ecosystem: acquirers, MIDs, settlement cycles, scheme fees, chargebacks and reserves.
  • Experience working across multiple entities and currencies (USD/EUR) and different jurisdictions.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and comfort handling large, messy datasets.
  • A rigorous, detail-oriented mindset: you don't stop at "there's a gap," you find out why.
  • Strong ownership and the ability to work autonomously, prioritize and keep many open items moving at once.
  • Clear communication skills in English, able to explain complex financial issues simply to non-finance stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

  • Proven experience automating, matching and building repeatable reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with Visa/Mastercard dispute and monitoring programs (VAMP, RDR, Ethoca, Verifi).
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI)
  • Experience building or scaling a reconciliation or controlling function from scratch.
  • Background managing high-risk or subscription merchant portfolios.
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish.

Role Details & How To Apply

  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Type: Full-time (~40 hours/week)
  • Contract: Independent Contractor / Long-term engagement
