Recruiter (PR & Communications) - Kuala Lumpur

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruiter to join the Korn Ferry RPO team, supporting a global leader in the public relations, strategic communications and marketing industry.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will manage end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of PR, communications and related specialist roles, supporting hiring across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia.

This is more than just a recruitment delivery role. You'll be a trusted talent advisor, partnering closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to develop effective hiring strategies, provide talent market intelligence and attract top talent across the region.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Kuala Lumpur and 2 day working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across PR, communications and related specialist positions, from hiring manager briefings and sourcing through to candidate assessment, interviews and offer management.
• Partner closely with hiring managers and senior business stakeholders across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia to understand hiring priorities and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Proactively source and engage talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, direct sourcing, networking, referrals and targeted talent mapping.
• Leverage LinkedIn Talent Insights, AI-enabled recruitment tools and market intelligence platforms to identify talent, analyse market trends and develop data-driven sourcing strategies.
• Conduct talent mapping and competitor analysis to identify talent pools within PR, communications, advertising, marketing and creative agencies.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring requirements across multiple APAC markets.
• Provide talent market insights, including candidate availability, competitor hiring trends, salary benchmarks and market conditions, to support informed hiring decisions.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing consultative recruitment advice and effectively managing hiring expectations.
• Manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities while ensuring recruitment timelines, service delivery standards and candidate experience expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate recruitment data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance with recruitment processes and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness, recruitment processes and stakeholder satisfaction through technology, market insights and continuous improvement initiatives.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, ideally within an in-house Talent Acquisition, RPO or recruitment agency environment.
• Experience recruiting within public relations, communications, advertising, marketing, digital or creative agency environments would be highly advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to partner with senior business leaders and hiring managers across multiple countries.
• Demonstrated experience using LinkedIn Talent Insights, AI-enabled recruitment tools and talent mapping methodologies to support sourcing strategies and hiring decisions.
• Strong direct sourcing capabilities, including Boolean searches, market mapping, competitor research and passive candidate engagement.
• Experience supporting regional or multi-country recruitment across APAC would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of talent market dynamics, candidate availability and recruitment trends within professional services or creative industries.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese language proficiency would be advantageous for engaging relevant candidates and stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-oriented, with a passion for delivering an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.
