Job Overview
The Recruitment and Programming Coordinator, Office of Graduate Careers, Georgetown Law – Georgetown University, provides computing, technical, research, clerical and administrative support to the Office of Graduate Careers (OGC) team, including handling logistical and organizational matters and playing a supportive role for all student functions and processes. The range of responsibilities include, but is not limited to, draft and send out OGC’s weekly careers newsletter, organizing and executing career events and programs; maintaining data files; preparing special reports and correspondence; processing financial matters for the team; receiving, screening and responding to email; and other electronic communication; and participating in meetings as requested.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Event Management: submit room requests, create RSVP links and manage all aspects of OGC’s career related events and programs
- Symplicity: manage multiple versions of Symplicity, upload students to Symplicity, and create Job Postings and Resume Collections as requested by employers
- Website and Databases: update OGC website, databases, and resources as needed
- Financial Responsibilities: assist with drafting OGC’s budget, track receipts and expenses, manage catering arrangements for career programs
- General: draft and send out weekly Careers Newsletter, manage multiple inboxes, conduct marketing for Externships and the Taxation Interview Program, gather data as requested by the Assistant Dean and communicate with multiple stakeholders including students, faculty, staff and employers.
Work Interactions
This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean in the Office of Graduate Careers. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the career advisors in OGC. OGC serves the career and professional development needs of the graduate students at Georgetown Law. This staff member is expected to maintain current working knowledge of and be an active participant in all activities and issues undertaken by the Office of Graduate Careers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience; e.g., each year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required. College preferred.
- Familiarity with financial systems, budgeting and accounting; experience in event and meeting planning; experience in support functions; excellent oral and written communications skills and student service orientations; demonstrated interpersonal skills; commitment to working with a diverse student body and faculty; team approach to problem solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Familiarity with Google Docs/Forms/Drive, MailChimp, Symplicity, and WordPress preferred
- Computer savvy
- Attention to detail is important in all aspects of this job

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$21.16 - $35.29Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
