Recruitment Associate | Remote

About the role

Kepler Search is looking for a Recruitment Associate to support our executive search assignments across the commodities and energy sectors in Asia Pacific.

You will work closely with our consultants to identify and engage candidates, research businesses and build talent pipelines for current and future searches. This is a sourcing and research-focused role for someone who enjoys finding the right people, understanding specialist markets and developing effective search strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand recruitment briefs and translate them into targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Build, test and refine Boolean search strings across LinkedIn, search engines and recruitment databases.
  • Use LinkedIn filters, keywords and alternative job titles to identify relevant candidates beyond obvious matches, including professionals who are not actively looking for a move.
  • Conduct Google and X-ray searches to find public profiles and relevant information outside LinkedIn’s own search.
  • Map companies, competitors, team structures and talent pools to identify people in comparable roles across different businesses.
  • Approach candidates, introduce relevant opportunities and build relationships through regular follow-up.
  • Conduct initial screening conversations to understand candidates’ experience, motivations, compensation expectations, availability and suitability.
  • Prepare clear candidate summaries and share research findings with consultants to support shortlisting.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, search progress and pipeline information in the CRM.
  • Support interview coordination and candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong practical Boolean search skills, with the ability to independently build and refine search strings for different roles and markets.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn sourcing and Google/X-ray search, including effective use of filters, keywords and job-title variations.
  • Confidence in company and talent mapping, candidate research and CRM management.
  • The ability to assess profiles against a brief and recognise relevant experience beyond exact keyword matches.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to approach professionals at different levels.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple searches and follow-ups.
  • Sound judgement, discretion and a professional approach to confidential information.
