Recruitment Consultant – Early Years

Remote | Midlands: Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus benefits, bonuses and commission

Help us grow Tinies across the Midlands area. We are one of the UK’s leading childcare and early years recruitment specialists. For over 50 years, we’ve connected brilliant people with nurseries, early years settings and families across the country. As we continue to grow our national presence, we’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Recruitment Consultant – Early Years to help develop our business across the Midlands region, specifically including Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing national recruitment team, develop strong relationships with early years clients and build a thriving community of childcare professionals across the region. If you love recruitment, enjoy building relationships and get a buzz from growing a desk and making placements happen, we’d love to hear from you. Previous experience within early years and childcare is essential, alongside a strong understanding of the compliance, safer recruitment and safeguarding standards that underpin our industry.

The Role...

As a Tinies Recruitment Consultant – Early Years, you’ll take responsibility for developing and managing a busy recruitment desk across the Midlands. Your primary focus will be childcare supply staffing, helping nurseries and other early years settings access high-quality, compliant professionals when and where they need them. You’ll also support wider recruitment opportunities across the region as we continue to grow. This is a fast-paced, people-focused role combining client development, candidate management and recruitment delivery.

You’ll work closely with our national recruitment, resourcing and compliance teams, giving you the support to focus on building relationships, filling bookings and developing your market.

What You’ll Be Doing...

  • Build and manage relationships with nurseries and early years settings across the Midlands.
  • Develop new client opportunities specifically across Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester and the surrounding areas.
  • Manage temporary childcare supply requirements, from daily and short-notice cover through to longer-term assignments.
  • Understand client staffing needs and provide responsive, consultative recruitment support.
  • Work closely with our resourcing team to build strong pipelines of early years professionals.
  • Match the right candidates to the right settings, balancing skills, experience, availability and location.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates to maximise availability, engagement and retention.
  • Proactively generate new business and grow existing client accounts.
  • Manage bookings, placements and ongoing client requirements.
  • Work alongside our compliance team to ensure candidates meet Tinies’ safer recruitment and safeguarding standards.
  • Use recruitment data and market insight to identify growth opportunities.
  • Deliver against agreed activity, placement and revenue targets.
  • Represent Tinies professionally across the Midlands early years community.

About You...

You’ll be someone who enjoys the pace and energy of recruitment and understands that successful desks are built on great relationships, consistent activity and excellent service. You’ll be confident speaking with clients and candidates, comfortable developing new business and motivated by seeing your desk grow.

We Are Looking For...

  • Previous experience working within the early years and childcare sector.
  • Recruitment, staffing or talent acquisition experience.
  • A strong understanding of temporary recruitment and childcare supply staffing.
  • Good knowledge of safer recruitment, compliance and safeguarding requirements within early years.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive and confident approach to business development.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset.
  • Confidence using recruitment technology, CRM systems and digital sourcing tools.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a wider national team.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with energy, tenacity and the drive to build a successful recruitment desk while maintaining the high standards our clients, candidates and children depend upon.

Why Join Tinies?...

This is an opportunity to join Tinies at an exciting stage of our growth. We’re investing in our people, our technology, our brand and our national recruitment capability, creating new opportunities across the UK. You’ll have the backing of an established 50-year brand, alongside the freedom and support to develop your market and make the Midlands your own. In return, we offer:

  • Competitive basic salary.
  • Uncapped commission and performance incentives.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • Birthday leave.
  • Enrichment days.
  • Professional development and career progression opportunities.
  • Support from head office, plus dedicated national resourcing and compliance teams.
  • A collaborative, ambitious and people-focused culture.
  • The opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of Tinies.
