Engineering Recruitment Consultant

Sigmar Recruitment is hiring an Engineering Recruitment Consultant in Athlone, County Westmeath. This is a permanent, full-time role paying €35,000–€45,000 depending on experience, enjoy uncapped commission structure with no threshold – earn commission from your first placement. You will work three days in the Athlone office and two days from home, taking ownership of an established desk while developing client relationships and growing your own recruitment business.

About Your New Job

As the Engineering Recruitment Consultant, you will report to the Athlone Recruitment Manager.

You will:

• Take ownership of an established Engineering and Manufacturing recruitment desk.
• Source, screen and engage candidates using recruitment databases, LinkedIn, networking and direct sourcing.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, taking detailed recruitment briefs and advising on the candidate market.
• Develop new business opportunities through proactive client engagement, meetings and networking.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate shortlisting, interview coordination, offer management and placements.
• Work towards individual and team revenue targets while developing your specialist market and client portfolio.

What You Need

Essential:

• At least two years of agency recruitment experience.
• Experience managing a full 360 recruitment desk, including candidate sourcing, client management and business development.
• Experience developing new client relationships and managing existing accounts.
• Strong candidate sourcing, screening and recruitment delivery skills.
• Ability to work from the Athlone office three days per week.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience recruiting within the Engineering or Manufacturing sectors.
