In Close communication with the JAG-NM CAAN Coordinator they will build relationships and memberships with alumni while also recruiting current participants of the program. Meanwhile, the JAG-NM Recruitment Coordinator will assist their colleges with Event Planning for the Alumni Association as well. This position provides valuable experience in nonprofit administration, communications, event planning, and relationship management while offering a flexible work schedule that supports academic success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The JAG-NM CAAN Recruitment Coordinator will: ● Maintain regular communication with JAG-NM alumni through email, phone, and social media. ● Find and Recruit JAG-NM alumni to join NM-JAG CAAN ● Assist with planning and coordinating alumni events, networking opportunities, and recognition activities. ● Update and maintain alumni contact information and engagement records. ● Collect alumni success stories for newsletters, reports, grant applications, and marketing materials. ● Support graduating participants as they transition into the JAG-NM Alumni Network. ● Prepare communications, newsletters, and assist with social media content. Schedule This is a flexible part-time position, generally working 10–20 hours per week based on the student's Federal Work-Study award and class schedule. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to support alumni events or organizational activities. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications Successful candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable using Microsoft Offi ce and Google Workspace, and be able to work independently in a remote environment. Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding. Previous participation in JAG or experience with student organizations, customer service, or event planning is preferred but not required.
