We’re looking for a Reddit Community & Growth Manager to take OpenArt’s Reddit presence from 0 to 100.

This is not a role where you simply moderate a subreddit, schedule posts, and respond to comments.

We want someone who can build a growth channel from scratch.

You’ll own Reddit end-to-end: our subreddit, our presence across relevant communities, content, experiments, community programs, organic distribution, user acquisition, and the feedback loop between Reddit and our product team.

Your goal is simple: make OpenArt impossible to ignore on Reddit.

What You’ll Own

Turn Reddit Into a Growth Channel

You’ll own the strategy, execution, and results for Reddit.

• Build OpenArt’s Reddit presence from the ground up
• Grow our subreddit into an active community of AI creators
• Set ambitious weekly and monthly growth goals
• Run experiments across content, distribution, community programs, and acquisition
• Find repeatable ways to turn Reddit conversations into subreddit members, OpenArt users, and advocates
• Track what drives reach, engagement, community growth, traffic, and signups
• Double down quickly when something works and kill experiments that don’t
  
  

Build a Community People Actually Want to Join

Don’t wait for people to start conversations. Create reasons for them to come back.

• Create recurring formats, challenges, showcases, discussions, AMAs, competitions, and community programs
• Find ways to get OpenArt users sharing their work and workflows organically
• Turn great community contributions into moments worth sharing
• Identify and support highly active members who can become long-term community advocates
• Develop systems that increase participation and retention as the subreddit grows
• Moderate the community without making it feel corporate

You’ll spend significant time understanding what people are already talking about across AI, video, filmmaking, design, advertising, and creator communities.

• Find conversations where OpenArt can genuinely add value
• Participate as a real member of the Reddit community, not as a brand account dropping links
• Spot discussions, memes, formats, and topics before they become obvious
• Build relationships with moderators, creators, power users, and relevant communities
• Identify organic opportunities to introduce OpenArt without forcing the product into conversations
• Understand what earns attention on Reddit and what gets ignored
  
  

Experiment Constantly

There is no finished Reddit playbook for an AI company growing at our pace. We expect you to help write ours.

You might test a creator challenge one week, a new content format the next, an AMA after that, and then find something completely different that works better than all three.

We want someone who naturally asks:

“What happens if we try this?”

Then actually tries it.

You’ll be expected to generate ideas independently, launch experiments quickly, measure the results, and turn winning experiments into repeatable systems.

Be Our Eyes and Ears on Reddit

Reddit isn’t only a distribution channel. It’s one of the best places to understand what users actually think.

You’ll constantly track:

• What people are saying about OpenArt
• Why users love or dislike specific features
• Recurring complaints and feature requests
• What people say about competing AI products
• Which new AI tools, models, workflows, and use cases are gaining attention
• Changes in sentiment around OpenArt and the broader AI creative space
  
  

You’ll turn this into clear, useful insights for our product, growth, and marketing teams.

If Reddit starts talking about something important, we should know early.

Who We’re Looking For

You probably:

• Understand Reddit deeply, including its culture, humor, communities, unwritten rules, and what Redditors immediately recognize as marketing
• Have experience growing communities, audiences, social accounts, or organic acquisition channels
• Think in terms of growth, not just content
• Are highly experimental and comfortable trying ideas that might fail
• Write excellent, natural English and know how to sound like a person rather than a corporate account
• Understand generative AI and actively keep up with the space
• Move quickly without needing constant direction
• Take ownership when something isn’t working instead of waiting for someone else to fix it
• Can go from an idea to execution without weeks of planning
  
  

Most importantly, you have a 0-to-100 mindset.

Even Better If You

• Have personally grown a subreddit or Reddit account
• Have built an online community from zero
• Have grown an organic channel with measurable traffic or user acquisition
• Use or know about AI image or video creation tools
• Understand Reddit search, Google search visibility, and how Reddit content gets found outside Reddit
• Have worked with creators, ambassadors, affiliates, or UGC programs
• Know how to analyze community and content performance
• Can create simple memes, graphics, GIFs, or videos yourself
• Use AI to move faster
  
  

How We’ll Measure Success

We’re not hiring you to “keep Reddit active.”

We’re hiring you to grow it.

Success means:

• OpenArt’s subreddit grows consistently month over month
• Weekly active members and meaningful discussions increase
• Community members start creating conversations without us prompting them
• OpenArt becomes increasingly visible across relevant Reddit communities
• Reddit becomes a measurable source of traffic and new OpenArt users
• Community programs create repeat participation and UGC
• We build a network of advocates who genuinely like talking about OpenArt
• Reddit insights regularly influence our marketing and product decisions
• You find at least a few growth tactics that work well enough to scale
